Fail to see how this is better for all?

Ok I love the thought of getting higher lvl chips or alternatives for 6.25 baal/creb and above but it is still the same thing as getting more coins/credits, as in you would be gaining power faster.

I believe matt goes on about it because banish events are the main source of income in the game and with more people coming up in power the slice of the pie is getting smaller for all of as, it is taking longer to build runes, not getting as much to spend on thorsday and with each lvl of equipment getting more expensive is slowing as down so much it is getting tedious.
