I have noticed that for a while when I get a chest with a Wolf Claw material in it it changes to a Falcon Feather before it hits inventory, any indications when this issue will be resolved or any bright ideas on how to get around this?

Ive been stuck at 15 wolf claw for months
\Ive sent in tickets and get ignored
I also sent in tickets (many of them) and I got a response a few weeks ago stating they are aware of this issue.
No resolution on it yet and I do not anticipate this to be fixed until they open the next area is my guess.
Just keep plugging away at hitting chests in the arena.
I managed to make 2 swords and it was a long painful process to farm it. I had help from my guild members who would pop a chest for me. Also the claw drops from level 100 - 104 predominantly. 105+ you start to see diminished claws and other materials. So you may be limited on being able to farm the claws.

It says you got wolf claws but it does not give it to you in the inventory.
However, every now and then you do get the wolf claws. So it is not 100% of the time you don't get it. It is most of the time.
It also did not give me "other stuff" either on a consistent basis.

I havent had a wolf claw in months
been at 15 for what seems like forever and by forever I mean prior to christmas or so
I've been sending in tickets on this almost daily since about 8 April also. Same response as Pussy, ie nothing happening for the foreseeable future, although you wouldnt think it is hard to fix.......
