BAAL/CERB Last Hit Coin Rewards seems to have a logic flaw

I can't help but notice that there are getting to be ever more instances where I observe low level players suddenly popping into realms and winning coin at very high rates.
These are clearly alts of competing guilds in other realms who are gaming the system in a coin-denial strategy. As an aside its also clear that they are creating alt breeder guilds to fast advance/develop these new alts while using them to also wedge-bid against the established guild enemy to force a split in forces. This is a separate issue that needs to also be addressed.

But right now in World Boss Events it looks like there is a definite favoring of lower power players in the coin roll logic and its being exploited. Can someone confirm or deny this or give own observations?

In a realm I play in I am the only consistently active high power player who can even kill baal/cerb in the allotted time frame by myself. No one else has the power to do it. So these low level alts (lvl 20-30, 80+ levels below me in most cases) are now showing up and attacking me non stop during Baal's wrath phase to try to interfere with me getting last hit in. One may be also gem hitting by counting number of attacks and speeding up the cool down between cycles to win the coin or to deny the coin (at any cost). This is all of course a game abuse in any case and especially so if the coin award is NOT purely random and is in fact set up to favor lower level players or those who are doing PvP during the event.

I have experimented and observed. It definitely looks like there is a HUGE favoring mechanism for lower power players during coin reward. I have some low levels guildies who win by just showing up and doing fractional percentage damage a disproportionate percent of the time. These other guild alts that show up win the coin 3x as often and are exploiting some sort of arcane knowledge about the award logic or are gem hitting non stop a few cycles into the terminal wrath mode.

Other's seen any of this or have insights?

Who gets the reward is random. From my understanding of it, it waits until x number of attacks have been done during the last hit mode and then gives it out.

yep, last hit is given out lottery style, a player who dealt damage during the fight will be randomly selected as soon as rage mode starts. doesn't matter how often you're attacked or attack during this time you can't change the outcome. I would have thought someone of your self-proclaimed caliber would know that river...

Also, quit trying to blame your own shortcomings on alts

    The logic is rather simple:

    1 of you
    20 of them

You will only win 1 of 21 times.
    (even less if they revive)

PS: You're already getting ~100% of the damage. And now you're whining (two threads already) about not getting this bonus?
Why don't you share with your own guildies?

Cuddles' Law: The volume of a player's whine is directly proportional to his/her VIP level.

Sorry but I think you are just parroting back the standard tribal knowledge of what we have all heard through the grapevine. I am telling you that I have qualitative data that all but proves the logic is favoring lower level players. That is why I am soliciting anecdotal accounts to investigate it further and maybe find out if there's an unintended bug in the logic that crept in somewhere.

I don't really need your unhelpful ad hominum comment that attempts to belittle me with the irrational line of thought that if its random as you say then I can somehow have "short comings" that cause me to lose the coin more than average. Are you linguistically and composition-ally challenged with limited word vocabulary and choice and did you really just mean to say I'm unlucky; or did you mean to imply the voodoo notion of "beginner's luck"; or do you signal that you have some special and exclusive way to gain a new talent for raw luck in the talent-queue that the rest of us don't know about?? Bizarre in any case.

Reiterating that there's only a few people in the event - 3-4. So if it were truly random I'd expect to win 30-25% of the time - not 1 in 10 as I am seeing since the PvP distraction hits started during wrath stage.

Thanks This was as I understood it also. But I am not seeing this in practice. The odds are way skewed in actual play it appears - especially if there is PvP nuisance attacks.
I'd just like to see an official statement on how it was intended to work then bump that against what everyone else is actually seeing to determine if there is some kind of logic bug that worked into the game in a patch or something. I only noticed this in the last 6 weeks or so.

I don't know if they have fixed this since the last time I have seen it happen BUT you do not have to deal damage during the banish to win the 10mil. If you come in during final fight- 0% damage dealt- you can "win" the ten mil. Most major issue with that is that if you have dealt no damage and win- you don't actually get the 10mil which means NO ONE gets the coins for final blow. (Of course, if they have fixed this then nevermind.)

I'm on page with Revan; it seems like it waits for a certain amount of hits to be done and damage dealt doesn't have anything to do with it.

Also, I do not think that lower players who just happen to stroll in have a higher chance of winning. Yes, it happens but haven't seen anything to make me think the system is biased towards them.

that was fixed a long time ago. you can't win the 10 mil unless you deal damage during the fight.
