It's a common phenomenon for the upper players to label all casual players as "alts", moreso the very casual players, and yet these are
real persons.
This phenomenon is better known as the Wishful Thinking fallacy.
For example:
-- I started on an old server, one of the first. Even after exceeding 10 million power with a full set of level 8 runes and champion+ spirits, VIP1 with Maria, they
STILL think I'm an alt.
-- Go to your own server's guild list, to "other guilds". Now you see all those dead guilds with 1 player in them? Yes those are real players (real dumb, but real players).
-- Many players play on multiple servers. Some of these for social reasons and not necessarily to play Tynon (sorta like mine on the old server). While it's not their main Tynon toon, they're definitely not "alts".
-- Every server has its share of "kids" who may or may not be old enough to play the game. Often these kids aren't even smart or motivated enough to craft Hopebringer gear, and if they do they'll typically leave one of their toons half naked with level 0 apprentice gear. Yes these are real players.
-- If you're on a EST or CST server you have kids getting home from school to hop onto Baal :-/
-- And all those annoying kids in Realm Chat ... Yes these are real players too *shrug*
-- In fact every single type of player on this list ... sadly ... is a real player too
