on another thought, do you have data and screens from previous test runs to back this up and regarding the other skills as well? i would love to take a look at it (please dont start it for me if you dont have it).
especially the part about where you increase his hitrating and it makes him less likely to be dodged, but i am also very interested in the in-game mechanics about break and how it effects skills differently

Sorry, no data for you. But the only skills where I noticed break having an effect is on Thousand Strikes, Horns of Hell, and Flamewall. You can test it yourself, just make sure your break rating is higher than the opponents block rating. If their block is sufficiently high, then break will not increase your damage on those skills either. This is why mages take much more damage from Thousand Strikes in comparison to other skills, because they do not benefit from block rating.

A corollary is that block reduces damage from Thousand Strikes, Horns of Hell, and Flamewall. The exact mechanics and ratios and numbers involved, I have no idea. But you can run some simple tests to confirm the general observations.

but thats wrong. mages do block, they just cant counterattack. also the block rating determines the overall damage reduction.

would you mind explaining me please how increasing bloods hitrating it would increase his dodge rate? also, i hope you are aware that blood got a masters degree in dodging and if he doesnt dodge he can block and counter attack with and without morale

    1) Have you ever seen one of your mages block? Try putting on a high level resistance on your mage and then fight someone with Adam/Mulan. Notice no damage change. Repeat with a physical character and you will see a damage change.

    2) Hit Rating means Blood is less likely to be dodged by an enemy. This has nothing to do with Blood dodging. Blood dodges a lot because he has +40 dodge bonus, the highest stat bonus in the game (tied with King T's +40 crit). Break means Blood is less likely to be blocked. It has nothing to do with Blood himself doing an counterattack. Break would only benefit Blood in the situation in which Blood has been morale drained and needs to do regular attacks to build morale back up.

ty for rephrasing this because your original post was easy to misread and it sounded like you suggested to improve bloods dodging by increasing his hitrating.

ps: and yes you are right he is great at dodging, but again he can not only block but also counter attack with morale. the counter attack however itself is a normal hit and not a skill attack
