Thoughts on the Semifinals (real finals) of CWF and hero choice

Sooo after seeing Blayd almost lose, and him basically being able to build any hero he wants, why is General Alci ignored by a lot of the top players? Hes the hardest hitting multitarget hero in the game, and essentially forces you to only utilize 2 lanes, making Theseus and Rhize that much more potent. If you watched the replays basically whoevers Theseus hit more targets won the fight, combined with Alci its a lose lose situation regardless of how you adjust your form. Im aware of his morale issues, and herja/proph being liabilities, but if Avalarius had a strong General instead of his useless Bryn, he would have won that battle easily.

Also on another note, Blayd, do you feel like you need to take things more serious now that youre on your way to losing?

As other people spend as much as me, it is only fair they too get a chance to win a few and get some crowns. 20% buff is a lot to deal with when facing opponents who has spent just as much.

The current game is capped out and I am nearing it, so spending more really does not accomplish much, except to tweak with lucky casino rolls on high level chips, or fixing more saints.

I plan to wait and see what Tynon does with future of heroics and opening up more areas before spending any more.

It is time someone else won a few. If they can beat me next go around, more power to them. The crowns will eventually catch up to them too.

what you show here is strategy. most players in this game dont think that far and assume its all about who spends the most to get the furthest and then try to nerf them or nerf the game to let themselves catch up.
on another note, i am pretty sure that in the setup as avalarius was, it was brynn who got him/her an additional win but brynns inconsistency and near insignificant damage was also being responsible for loosing.

Excellent analysis Kasim, that was precisely the same conclusion I came to regarding Bryn.

Blayd as multiple alts, most are over 100M power, hence the weird forum name.

Like kaisim said, in some fights Byrn is completely a non-factor, but on some occasions, she will win you a fight that you had no chance in winning otherwise.

I think the top players are focused on heroes that can't be countered by Flavius, killing the morale support or tanks (remember, alci hits front targets and doesnt't penetrate to back rows like KT, Rhize, Adam). Having said that, Alci is still a great hero for pvp and you should have him ready to be swapped in if conditions are right.

Building another hero to 18 stars and Dominion 5 is a substantial investment, even for Blayd and Av because that same investment could go somewhere else.

Queen B can go both sides. She can make you win where you normally wouldn't, but she can make you lose where you would normally win.

For that reason, I only use her in battles I don't think I have a chance of winning. It's not a good idea to risk a battle unless you think you'll lose.
