    Royal Arena

Is anyone having a problem with the royal arena. I am 55M power. I have just spent 90 stamina to fight Pompey. Not alot with only a 4% chance of winning. The issue I have is I get only 2 different result (exactly these 2 results) lost with 22.8% damage done or win with 81.6% remaining? This was repeated on a different computer, I only get these 2 results. Whats up?

Sometimes your formation is skewed toward certain repeatable battle endings, as I've noticed. If you made insignificant or no changes to your form/equip/runes/etc, it is indeed likely (I don't know statistically how much, but it's definitely not unlikely) that you will end in a similar fashion. This happens for most battles when the opponent's form is constant (ie PVE). Btw, my recommendation is to try and find another form if you only win about 4% of the time.

I win about 75% of the battles, the 4% was to recruit. I just thought it was weird that with the same form in 18 + battles only these 2 exact results occurred.

    Answer: The Maria/healer effect.

(When in doubt, watch the battles / replays)

Most people don't use Maria for the Pompey fight. It has to do with Queen Penn either dying or living at a critical juncture in the battle. Perhaps she needs to dodge/block one attack at a key point (probably when the minion in front of Pompey is still alive) or she needs to be able to heal enough from killing the minion to have enough hp left to tank a Pompey strike.

This too, but remember that Pompey has multiple Marias on his side.

i bet it depends on if his pent dodges at a particular point in the game. pomps healing is pretty consistant and he even got a maria sub if i recall it right. so since the only damage given he does is to your sacrifice (your main, if you follow the same setup as i had) + whatever to pent thats left from before her last hit and you either make it or break it at a particular point. usually its either pent needs to dodge an attack at a particular point or if she takes the damage she cant leech enough HP from the minion she kills after.... or something like that. either way, as boring as it is, you will have to watch the fights closely and see where your snag is. also (again if its from the same examples i saw back then and remember) you can make a difference by moving her from the center spot to the front.

ps: if its the setup where they use shayd you can also try brynn for kicks or another DD, even your main works and you do no sacrifice (if you dont have one that retains morale you'd need a second light spirit to avoid building up morale on the boss). there is a wide variety of solutions.

queen P need HP refill but hits a almost dead enemy and wont regain full HP and die that round.. thats the problem 90% of the time

atleast for me that was the problem and else watch the battle instead of clicking result button every time.. then u can see what goes wrong

bookmark the above - might help answer your questions about what form is best to use - tho your formation seems to be fine judging by you comments. I agree with comment above on queen penth's heal - that is your problem - seems same thing has happened to a few of us and not just on pompey for me either - khan was a pain in the butt too.

As far as the recruitment percentage goes.......... lol i reckon they just plucked a number out of the air..... i used 2 full days stamina to recruit queen penth if i recall correctly and recruitment rate for her is i think around 30 or 35%. that's an awful lot of wins without picking her up.

On the flip side tho, i've seen posted in forums where some have recruited higher level heroes on their first attempt... some people i guess have more luck than others - dont sweat it, it will happen for you, you just gotta spend some more stamina...probably alot more than what you first thought.

High dodge was key in defeating the Golden Dragon in HR so it probably is a good thing to have every where else. I am talking about nimbleness 11 or 12.
