True, it does not *fix* this problem. It only adds flavor to the existing system.

    edit:
what i think its missing is something that forces players to take the fort and camps that then would for example initiate a battle between camp C and FORT and not just run around them and let the others sit inside waiting for you.
Hmmmmmm... Well I think the only base that should be mandatory would be the enemy HQ, as the camps already give army-wide bonuses. When you restrict movement too much, things become linear, mundane, and rather boring: like taking two cans smashing them together and see which breaks first. That's the current GW. B to A. On the other hand too much free movement is chaos in a turn-based game. It's all about finding a balance between free-movement and restricted movement.

But perhaps the Fort could give 2-square visibility. This would mean whoever controls the fort can view almost the entire board, and force the attackers that if they want to conduct a surprise assault, would first have to take the fort to neutralize the enemy's visibility.

Cuddles' Law: The volume of a player's whine is directly proportional to his/her VIP level.

you know, this all being said and your suggestions appreciated, i think the best feature they could add is to be able to recapture the city.
so what i would like to see happening is that if a guild for example goes from A to B and takes the city, the entire scenario will be set up again without the afk players (=need to click on "rejoin" to participate) with the remaining rounds (= the previously defending guild will get 24 rounds to recapture the city right after).
this does not change anything to server dominating guilds, but i would like to point out that i dont think its a bad thing. if a guild owns for example 6 cities and can defend them all against 3-4 or more attacking guilds, then i think they deserve them and should not get additional deductions in durability, negative attack/defense bonuses, etc
