Yes, the cost of success isn't easy.

    Comparing it with the Dragon:

    Dragon(xp) WR(xp) Dragon(hp) WR(hp
    0 0 8000 10000
    2500 3500 16000 20000
    5000 7000 24000 30000
    10000 14000 32000 40000
    20000 28000 40000 50000
    40000 56000 48000 60000
    80000 112000 56000 70000

As you can see, it takes 37500 dragon xp to get the same hp bonus as 24500 wind runner xp.
Anything past that and the wind runner leaves the dragon behind.

I dont think its such a good deal. hp.

Example: I have a 5 star dragon with 18k XP towards the 6th star currently, thats 48k HP. If I do the transfer - my dragon having a cumulative of 96k so far x 70% = 67k transferred to Windrunner (after rounding) - that makes a 4 star Windrunner, = 50k

So for 2 billion gold, I gain 2k life per hero. I'm far, far, far better off spending the same gold on pumping their relics obviously.

But you need the gems to match up those 2B coins.

By that logic, why get a dragon in the first place? The bears only cost 100m and then you can spend the other 900m pumping relics.

Your math doesn't show the entire picture, and doesn't use the 100% transfer option.

    Dragon: 0 + 2500 + 5000 + 10000 + 20000 + 40000 + 18000/80000 = 48k hp with 62000 xp to next level

    Windrunner: 0 + 3500 + 7000 + 14000 + 28000 + 43500/56000 = 50k hp with 12500 xp to the next level

Aside from having a level cap, relics cost-to-benefit ratio rapidly rises above level 64.
Mounts provide an across-the-board hp increase.

Also, if you want to stay competitive, you have to have the latest mount.
You wouldn't want your closest opponent to have +12k hp per hero over you right?

Herby, your maths are wrong here..... 67k transferred makes last level at 14,500/56k so 50k HP with 41,500 to next level.

so 2 billion gold nets you 2k life per hero + slightly closer to next star.... its really marginal.

Hmm. Relics at say level 75 still only cost 9m to level. 2 billion goes a long way - in fact I can level all 7 relics from 75 to 100 for exactly 2 billion, a gain of 14.7k life per hero. Short to mid term, a way better deal....
(forgetting for now justice relics, only talking judgment.)

Also, if you want to stay competitive, you have to have the latest mount. --- something shinier is bound to come out soon !!!

qed. And you are right I m not considering the gem payment option....

I calculated the Windrunner transferred xp using the full xp of the Dragon.

The amount of gems you'll spend will easily be paid back by the increase in hp.

Remember that bringing up relics also cost gems, and not just gold.

did i miss something? why are you guys talking about spending coins on relics and dont take your cooldowns into the occasion and that you take it like its cheap as hell?
i mean do the math, lets say a justice relic since a lot more have those than judgement:
lv 40 to 41 adds 500 HP and costs you 3m
lv 50 to 51 adds 500 HP and costs you 4.6m
lv 60 to 61 adds 500 HP and costs you 6.5m
now we are looking at cooldowns from over 2 days. you do the math... with all that being said, dont forget that you can do both: pimp your ride AND improve your gear.
