without second sub i got as close as 89% but time after 30 rounds. so its absolutely possible if your weapons are strong enough

i think he was making a point that he beat this boss without the 2nd sub (doesnt get close to beating ezk) and beat him in that form

Yup that's exactly what I meant. I used that formation to beat Malmepholis first stage and it took a few tries. Majority of them failing at 95-98% cause of the stupid turn limit.

finally beat him. the form i used indicated 236m power:

i thought i'd try again between banishes and on the first 3 tries i timed out on 30 rounds in my banish form, so i modified it leaving lance in "et voilà" he died. (still didnt beat ezk, but he is next)
