I wanted to reply to this post but noticed it had been closed before I could.
All good in theory but how do you stop alt guilds bidding?
Or was that why this thread was closed?
Before the question was asked?

On our server the coin cities are bid on daily by Alt guilds with such ridiculously high bids that nobody has a chance to compete for them,
ie 3400 and 1300 guild funds(today alone), by 2 alt guilds ( that is guilds with 50+ members & no member higher then lvl 55).

Until it is put in place, that unless all members or a high % of a guild are online and actively competing for the city that they bid for,
then neither guild gets the rewards for the "fight" or rewards from the city.

Just saying.

Think the thread was closed because it was an old thread. Alt biddings is another issue that isn't really related to the suggestion, but we could brainstorm a few ways to fix that as well.

Perhaps have a total guild power give weight to the bid. i.e. the one with the highest [total guild power] x bid will win.
If this gives too big an advantage to big guilds, average guild power might work.

Alt Bids only delay the inevitable, get some other guilds on the server to bid together to split their cities as much as you can and/or bid higher. Funds are only useful if ya use em. Everyone wants to save for better guild lvls but you still gotta put some up now an then to get what you want


Also the best way to get a thread closed is to start a new one of the same thing lol

I don't think the "now-and-then" would bother everyone. It's when the guild using alts constantly gets away with sub-1000 bids and the guild that doesn't needs to bid 4000+ every day that things are a problem.

We bid every day, the alt guilds a) have more funds, b)always bid higher every day.
Our guilds funds do eventually run out, with 50+ alts supplying contributions how can the 24 in our guild compete with that.

Without creating another 26 alts!!!
