Guild War is paradoxical in my opinion. It creates the competition we want, but it is also this very competition that is responsible for killing servers and, thus, competition in the end. As such, Guild War is a failure. Adding buffs to guild levels prevents servers from dying because it keeps your opponent healthy. The only problem is that there is no real competition without Guild War. Morgan's idea (which sounds like Matt's) is a good idea because it instills a competition that does not eventually lead to no competition. Guilds would be based on friendship instead of pure power. So yeah, the biggest power wouldn't weigh so much in guilds anymore, although they would be very useful in winning those new games. I think it's a good thing.
