Question about break in banish

I run break runes in cerb and baal on a few toons. Does break actually have any benefit against banish bosses though? I want to know if I'm wasting my time moving those runes for WB events.

its not like they are consumables and you would put anything "more useful" on it. you should try to find out for yourself and learn the game that way:
equip a rune, write down the damage for the entire run and later on at baal unequip the rune, write down the damage again, take your average and you got your answer.

They don't really do much in Banish.

But again, there's nothing else you can put in their rune slot that would change the outcome.

So just leave them on.

Shouldn't it cancel out the defense from block? I didn't really test it... probably doesn't make too big a difference. (IIRC shayd was blocked once by cerb... not sure if I'm remembering that right though)

it reduces the damage reduction from block, thats correct. what i think herby is saying is that the gain is so insignificant compared to the total damage we are doing that he wont gain or loose a spot. however, to many players its irrelevant because they have reliability runes that combine resilience and break. also the OP's question is really not relevant because it doesnt make sense to remove break runes for banish only.

It is relevant if they are beneficial to the banish toons I use (but not my regular form). So I'd move them from my regular heros to Lance, Cianna, Shayd, Thucy, etc... None of which I use in my standard form.

well then you would imply that you have them right now all on maria and herja? lol (if so, please take them off right now and you are wasting them!)
i think you misread my answer and there is no need to get defensive. all i am saying is that i am assuming you have them on your damage dealers right now and there is not need to take them off because they are in the right place already!
