It's utter incompetence that any company who operates an mmorpg would be so clueless as not to have a viable backup system in place. Unless there was a massive DDOS attack, this type of downtime should have never occurred. Tynon needs to get with the times and hire some competent techs and customer support reps who can manage the systems and provide regular updates through the forums/Twitter/Facebook, etc. I know there are a few who try to defend Tynon, but unless they change their quality of service the game will become unsustainable: especially with so many players leaving on a daily basis.
It was the upstream partner that failed, without it there was no way uCool could get their games online. According to uCool the company that provides upstream had a hardware failure and it was out of their hands until their upstream provider techies could fix the problem their end.

uCool did provide regular reports on their FB pages. Since the forums were down they weren't able to communicate using them.
