Had him go to 8 stars 3 times now, then he goes back to 7 after a couple of tries getting to 9. Used loads of medals and just keeps happening. After the patch that changed the star system i don`t believe this is suppose to happen?

Send in a ticket now
this occured before and after the patch.. been a problem since beta. i recommend taking screen shots when you upgrade your stars so if this happens you can submit a ticket and they will correct it for you.

If it is a Lag or Sync error then you would still have the medals. If you lost the medals and the star level then it is a bug. Point that out in the ticket.

no the issue is not about loosing a star level, its about you gained the star level and after refresh its not there anymore. i have been there and have "lost" (=not gained) medals once on 2 heroes going from 7 to 8 and 9 to 10 (might have been 10 to 11, whatever stage it was that didnt get announced in system chat before they changed it). i pounded a lot more medals into the heroes after to get both raised even further and after a refresh i noticed they where back to what they where before except this time my medals where gone. i put in 2 support tickets and first they asked me for screenshots of the system messages (yeah right! 5 days AFTER!!!) but again, at those stages arent even any. then i tried to argue and at least get the stars back since if the lag/bad sync or whatever it was wouldnt have been, i would have been still going on the higher hero instead of going on the lower ones with the "leftover" medals.

it can also be a display bug. that bug has been there a while, making it look like you gained a star when in fact it was just another fail.
A good way to make sure your stars have actually made it to your heroes is the world announcement.
If it is there, then it is an actual take, otherwise a false positive.

If the stars were added but on refresh, were never added, you won't lose the medals.
yeah thats what i was hoping but the evidence proved me wrong and customer service said they cant give me the medals back because i have used them, it just didnt "add up"
