I am using Chrome and I am not that tech savvy but did the same thing. Checked plugins disabled chromes version of flash and updated the one installed on my system and tada no crashes, runs fast and is highly reliable. Plays very nicely.

ok i give up! it seems to be just me who prefers a browser that is proven more reliable and you dont have to doctor around on it to make it working lol
