Not sure about the 35 hits to end Banish Rage...just took over 180

Banish today. Empty realm so we end up with few folks at Banish. 10million Boss. I do 8 million first round, second round he is killed. About 10:05.

Two other weaker players are there(they got nothing since I effectively killed the boss in one round) and then three other "friends" of mine show up.

Six players in all now. Now, the word is 35 entries to end the rage phase. If you figure 1 entry a minute, 6 players, 6 a minute, 6 minutes should do it.

The rage phase went on until 10:37 ._.

    That's 30 X 6, isn't it? 180?

    What am I missing?

And how is this system not utterly stupid and broken? I'd rather face heavy caps and end the banish in 5 minutes rather than an absolutely senseless 37 minutes.

Are you sure that each of the six players were hitting it and that none of them stopped for whatever reason while during rage mode? That is far more extreme than anything I have heard of.
"Revan. It isn't my real name—never was—but it will do."

    "Alderaan. They're on Alderaan."

    "Fat people always lie."

"Honor is a fool's prize. Glory is of no use to the dead."

yeah, I was able to watch my "friends" in separate windows, so I know at least 4 were getting hits. I'm baffled by the Banish mechanics. They need to find some sort of adjustment.....or merge more servers. There are soooooooo many inactive accounts on our server. It's just silly. Thousands of accounts with 1000 power.

From what I can gather, the final 10,000k reward goes to some one that has done 2 complete hits during the actual banish event,
so maybe the same applies to the final rage,
ie as you were the only player to get in 2 complete hits, you actually had to hit it 30 x by yourself??

    I dunno, maybe...

    edit:
Our server has a lot of players, but they are actually outnumbered by the alts,
most of which are created and run by the uber guild to prevent anyone else from bidding against them in GW.

by "complete hits" do you mean every hero gets a hit in a round?

I usually put Calvin in the pole position for rage. He Will Breakers the bosses morale and then, the team can go through a bunch of rounds. Never was sure if this was good or bad to do.

But...this time I took out Calvin (my friends did too) and just let team get killed quick, thinking that the additional fighting provided by Calvin might actually be a minus.

So, maybe you are on to something with the complete hits.

more clarity is needed.....or just do away with the rage phase.

thanks for the replies and thanks in advance for any other help, cheers

It's based on number of fights.

Number of hits doesn't actually matter... calvin doesn't matter.

Since you killed the boss by yourself, no one else was able to damage it.

ahhhh, now that seems to make sense....hmmm, I really wish they would change the way this is done. I get they want to create some fairness or prevent a strong player in an empty guild from just gobbling up rewards. Okay, but if it gets to 15 minutes and the boss isn't done, then just end the damn thing and don't advance the boss. No need to drag it on for 45 pointless minutes.

You can always get out of Banish and let it run for the whole hour in the background if you do not care to get the 10m coins. If you do want the 10m coins then stay in banish and do something else outside the game for a while.

Rage phase encourages alts by punishing unpopulated realms.

The way it should be is this. A random player who damaged cerb/baal gets picked in the lottery, and the first time that player hits the boss, the rage phase is ended. If they do not hit the boss (because they go idle for some reason), then apply the 35th last hit rule as a backup measure to prevent players from not being able to kill the boss.
