Simple fact, use it or don't. No internet company will take you seriously if you don't use it. As I said it's there to protect you from unwanted users.
Do the comments make you feel threatened in real life or impacting on your personal well-being? Are you being attacked on other sites or just Tynon? If the answer is yes to one or all of those then you need to tell Support that this is case. Reason being this is the third party harassment you are describing.
However, simple trolling which I strongly suspect you have here is fixed by just blocking. Trolls feed off attention and if you ignore them they will go away. If they know you are annoyed they will keep on pestering you.
