Bug, Techanical or Built in feature?

In Cerb and Baal my Pompey has his health points go down every time he hits the beast. The amount he hits for also goes down with each strike. His first attack on the beast is in mid 500,000 range, second hit in 300,000 range and so on down to the low 200,000 or his demise. Has any one else seen this? Is there any known answer or cure?

so in return his attack value also goes down

If Pompey kept his health it would be almost impossible to beat him because he hits so hard and his hit strength is determined by how much health he has.

no demise, his HP doesnt go below 1HP so he will never kill himself. to make pomp really work, pair him up with maria.

Lol, for some reason my Maria hates him, she heals everyone but him.
