Have you tried refreshing? This has happened to me multiple times with jewels and it's recurring when I upgrade armor, I'll complete the upgrade and then the game glitches and it shows as the item before I upgraded and I can't equip it. It usually straightens itself out when I reload my browser window though. Have you tried that yet?
