Which is better equipment to upgrade for damage in banish

Ie, should I level my sword with the blacksmith or level my spirits with the blacksmiths. Spirits are obviously more expensive. My hunch says spirits would be better because they boost skill attack and herja has my toons skilling every turn. But I'm not 100% sure my hunch is correct. Any thoughts?

Physical attack helps when you launch a skill as well (not quite as much as skill attack, but still helpful). Keep both swords and spirits similar levels.

Its a slightly different question that I'm asking here, That other question was a broader was that relates to talents, stars, saints, anything that can have a physical attack modifier. So with that question, for example if my Thucy had a bunch of physical attack saints I wanted to know if they didn't go to waste in banish if Thucy was doing nothing but skill attacks. With this question I'm asking which would give me a bigger bang for my buck in terms of damage output (sword or spirit). Thor's day is tomorrow, and I'm curious as to what would give the best result in terms of more damage in banish.

I suppose a formula for how a skill attack works would be nice, but not really sure if it's worth the trouble testing.

If I had to guess, I would say keep swords a little higher. Spirits cost too much and I haven't noticed too much benefit from having skill stats rather than physical stats.

Look at what improvement on crit the two upgrades give you and figure out where you would get the best 'bang for your buck' You need to also take i to consideration the cool down times because with the shorter cool downs it will allow you to make more frequent upgrades. As stated on another post above, also look at upgrading the Rune for crit. See what the next level will give you and the cost of the Sinergias to get there (even if you will not use Sinergia you can use it as a basis for comparison).
