Thats pretty much all about Morale and Advantage runes.......
To get a hero to Crit more you need to raise his Critical stat. That is the only thing that affect Crit. Of course, if you do not hit the other player/monster then you can not crit, so Hit Rating indirectly increases the Crit rate.

If you are facing opponents with high Resilience, then he probably won't crit much. As andy said, nothing you can do except increase crit rating.

i would like to emphasize the word "theory" (*stern look at riot*).
it was based on observations i did in banishes a while back, that heroes started to crit that never crit before, after i raised the preciseness runes i had. now i think the best example would be my main hero who started to throw crits during banish ways before she got to the "minimum crit rating to crit on banish" as stated by herby (sorry i forgot how much it was, i believe he said 180) and her crit rating was back then like 150'ish or so. now i have all lv 12 attack runes and all other runes either 11 or 12, so it dont matter to me anymore.
EDIT: i never got a response from anyone willing to test it, so i am guessing either no one cares or they all are as lazy as i am. i know what you are thinking, and no i will not test it, i have tested enough things regarding in-game mechanics. now its someone elses turn
in a way ive thought of that. im a logical person, so i would think a higher hit would cause higher dmg and crit. i say that cause a high hit rating could hit you know the enemies face...... how does that not do more dmg or crit? hahaha, but later i thought of it again. hit rating is the chance of hitting the person. what i was thinking of accuracy. hit rating is just hitting the person while accuracy would be how accurate you are of hitting where on the person.
maybe its just me, but thats my thoughts
well i have pointed that out in the original post and its NOT about "better chances to hit result into more crits". its about heroes throwing crits more frequent, i made the example of adam who crits on 5 other heros at once more often at once compared to adam who crits on 1-3 heroes with a lower preciseness (still without misses).

Removed the rune infaliabilty to ur attacking hero instead give theme to a mage in the back to prevent crit often of ur opponent,Never put infaliabilty rune on the front hero ,,, The better things is change it with dextorousness on ur attaking hero in front. Dex is to increase Yellow bar Rapidly skill attack of ur Front hero,,
