    Screen goes black when inactive

    Help! I have a problem.

My screen goes black after a moment when I go inactive. It started doing this today during Baal. I went afk and when I cam back, my screen had gone black and I had stopped participating in Baal.

So it's a major problem for banish events, but it's also a problem for auto-collect.

I tried removing the screen-saver, but it doesn't seem to be the problem because my screen still goes black.

    Can anyone help me out?

Check your power settings. There is one to turn off the screen based on inactivity. If you are using a laptop there are different settings for when you are on the battery from when you are plugged in. When you are in the power settings panel you man need to go to advanced or more settings to see all the settings.

One thing that may have happened is that you inadvertently changed the power profile to one that is meant for low power usage.

The power plug on my lap top was not designed very well. The connection will slide part way out and then my screen goes black. I give it a nudge back in and everything is ok.

Not sure what happened. I restarted my computer and everything is back to normal now. I guess I should have done that first...

    Thanks for the help everyone.
