    Hmm, not necessarily ...

People can power up quite quickly especially with the labs, and if you are experienced, then you can do them well.
In labs I get 700 all the time in lvl 1 hard mode, lvl 2 normal is being a pain soI cant get to hard : /
Once I got +-720k experience on 800 scores in lab 1 hard, I know of some people who would die for that, on average, I get 550000 scores in labs

Sailing will be worth the time ESPECIALLY on Saturdays as on 104 we have a truce with all other guilds. We can almost guarantee you 40 gems..
We have some small members 2 or 3 lvl 50 around about who aren't being sunk (ofc you will get sunk sometimes, we just get you another map), but sailing with us as we are strong, not strong compared to the other gw city dominant guild, you have lower chances of getting sunk.

    Yes agree with David.

being on a populated server can make you grow much faster. Join a guild with double sailing and get double gems, exp, and coins. Also additional REP from rep cities and coins from shrine, etc.

Starting out at a populated server is not a bad thing. Joining in a new server have its own challenges since everything you do will be from the beginning with no buffs from cities and everything being cut throat with everyone trying to establish dominance. Also a lot more work such as GW, etc.

Top guilds have high powers to sail with and will reduce your chances of getting sunk, moreover these are experienced players you can learn from. But back to the main idea. If you didn't succeed on s129, then what is to say you will do any better on s130. You need to learn to build a toon first. Ask questions, lots of questions of top players, and you will learn which champs are good to spend resources on and which are a waste of time. This is what I did by trial and error. I joined one top guild and then another top guild, etc... And learned different things from different guilds... How Maria works, why Queen P is the single most important toon to build early, the importance of champs like herja, flavius, calvin etc.

We have people under vip3 in the top 12 of some of the servers I play on. Yes, they played from the start of the server, but they also joined guilds with experienced players to learn from. And there are plenty of guilds on older servers with experienced players to learn from. That, as I see it, is the biggest advantage of joining an old server. Then, when a new server does come out you will be prepared to build your toon with a bunch of knowledge that you did not have before and you will play better. For example, the gap between the inexperienced players on the server I started on, and the experienced players is a wide chasm. The inexperienced players main really strange formations like Valla, Knight Gawain, Shayd, Princess Andromeda... Many have played from the beginning and have less than 10million power after 6 months. A new server will not help these players. In fact, the first few weeks of a new server is complete chaos usually, makes it a hard environment to learn in, as everyone is busy powering up.

99 is fairly active. We have active guilds in all three realms. And a few lower level guilds that grab a city every now and again.
