Best Banish Formation

at this point i would like to fill the gap for "newbie" formations:

no lightbringers spirits or below:
calvin* cianna** xxx
xxx main xxx
xxx DD*** shayd

*calvin needs a morale rune that is 1-2 hits under 100 to make it work (example level 5 partisan)
** cianna needs a 100 morale rune
***DD stands here for your main damage dealer, that could be lance, blood, pomp, etc

with your first sub the above form and put herja on the sub

later on with 1-2 light set:
herja blood XXX
XXX main XXX
XXX lance shayd

pomp on the sub and the light sets go on lance first and the second light spirit goes on your main

2-3 light spirits:
herja cianna XXX
XXX main XXX
XXX lance shayd

sub pomp
(yes there is 2 forms for 2 light spirits, its your own judgment call, as you increase your preciseness on shayd you will notice that your damage will fluctuate significantly due to your main doesnt have a light spirit and is racking up the morale from the boss. top avoid this short transition you can try to advance the main by one field: XXX XXX main)

for full light spirits please regard herby's posts and take your clues from there

Actually you're wrong.

Your die order is: Main, sub, sub, shayd, herja, aphro, lance

From my previous post:

For example, if your Aphro didn't have 321 hit rating, do you think your formation would work out as well as you'd expect?

Actually it would even though aphro's hit is not as high. People on my server with 200 mil power (no aphro) are getting well over 250mil damage within the first 15 - 20 minutes (1 sub).

Also I mixed the die order between lance and aphro. Can use either. It makes very little material difference at the end.

With 30 round limit per turn, there is a diminishing return.

The bottom line for me is:

There is no single "best" banish formation. Everything depends on your individual heroes' star levels, saints, and your available gear. I suggest you try to look at the formations of those who do well in Banish and study how they work, and improve on them to tailor your own lineups.

It's not your formation that does the damage, its your heroes' 18 stars, tailored saints, and maxxed out equipment.

There's no one in my server who's at, or remotely near to 1.4b power.
But I know several players at 300m power who can do ~700m damage in 20mins.
VIP 5-6, no tailored saints, highest starred hero is 14-15 stars,

There is a diminishing return with round cap so this is possible if the 300 mil power player who has 2 subs to get close to 700mil. If a 200mil player with 1 sub can do 250mil - 300mil within 15 - 20 min with even lower saints and stars using the formation I just mentioned. I don't see much difference.

Once those guys get 300mil+ with 2 subs and 15 star on lance and aphro (when they get it), it is not hard to do 700mil within 20 minutes using the exact formation I just posted. So what's your point?

The reason why I am posting this again, is because I see people using ridiculous formations and getting 400mil when they are at 500mil+ power with 2nd sub slot and Aphro.

But it is a double edge sword. Once they get this formation, so will everyone else on the same server, thus "everyone" will get a bigger piece of the pie and grow faster.

you of all should know that power doesnt count, especially during banishes. i out damaged the back then TWO leading players of our server with half the power after they switched into "my" realm and both said they will show me my place in banishes.

There are better formations out there, and they exist, but I choose not to share them.
I don't like posting formations and people will use them without even knowing how they work.

Your damage come from Lance, Aphro and your Leader mostly. Even starring the other heroes to 18 will not help much since their primary role is to keep the Boss stunned while those 3 heroes do the damage. Like I said, your damage is from stars, gear, and saints.


I also don't understand why you keep on using an "X" formation. Aesthetics?

with one minor difference... do you think it makes a difference?

yes the x form is better in this case herby and for the AVERAGE player the X form you posted will out damage the second form in the long run but both forms are bad

Here is what others (Mattp and others on his realm) are using at 500mil power range level:

X X Aphro
X X Main
Lance Prophet Cienna

Sub 1: Shayd
Sub 2: Thuc

Or you can swap Cienna and Aphro (depending on who is a better stunner based on their runes and saints)
