I did move past the Malephous ultimate and the remaining bosses are a bit more challenge and a bit more fun. If you are close to your set, you should try it.
As for new content, I rather they fix the game balance issue first since it can most likely be fixed easier such as talent power adjustment, black smith to infinite, runes increased to 15 or infinite, which will allow this game be customizable to the nth degree. A person can have 1 level 18 rune on the main hero as a strategy for example...
As for the nastiness of threats made in game, I just block them and eventually they go away when no one pays attention to them. People who lose it and start to resort to threats and violence has already "lost"
