However, his Aikido is very effective, I assure you. Just to inform you he is an 8th degree black belt which is beyond brilliant. No one can get past 4th degree black belt without a recommendation from the Doshu, which is basically the current grandmaster. If you had to meet Steven Seagle on the street and point a knife or a gun at him he WILL defend himself and you WILL be in lots of pain as you have not learned how to accept a self-defense move that is being performed on you!

The majority of martial arts are good for fitness, however, Aikido, which is also good for fitness is a martial art that DOES NOT require you to be fit. It is basically a martial art which re-directs your opponents momentum back onto themselves. Under no circumstances are you allowed to use any form of strength in Aikido.
People may disagree with this but in my mind Aikido is the one and only martial art that can dominate any other martial art or fighting style.

I assure you that Steven Seagle's 'flashy moves' have not influenced me at all!
I wish to live in Japan because for me it will be a place where I can define myself better as a human being.
If you are interested about Aikido you should research it a bit, and trust me, the results you will find will astonish you.

To summarise Aikido up: It is a martial art that re-directs you opponents momentum back onto themselves by using absolutely 0 strength but by rather using your center of gravity!

ummm gracies might beg to differ
