Losing Stars

Hi Guys, I tried to upgrade my hero from 2 stars to 3 stars, I applied the blue stars but instead of just failing it reduced my hero's star count to 1. That didn't happen on the beta.

Yea it happend to me in beta and live many of times already that iam scare to keep trying it.
