Thread: Suggestion; moving servers.

    other games which are WAY more successful than Tynon allow free server movement, usually for a small price. Despite what the above posts say, it does not kill a game, and would in fact be a good thing, Expericence has shown repeatedly,,,

    The current strategy was put in place to make money the fast and easy way.

    Not thinking about the long term implications.

    It's still not too late to change the game and get a lot of people back, but they are too damn lazy to do anything about it.

    I don't think anyone would ever be allowed to server hop as it would be very unfair for people to go to certain servers. I would imagine at some point in time they might merge servers that were created close together so there isn't a massive distortion of power, but at the same time it is difficult to do and they would have to be in the same time zone or there would be massive complaints.

    At this point in the game, some of the most powerful accts are on later servers. I see no reason people could not move around and mix things up. Compact the servers to actual active accts, delete the thousands of dead/idle accts and give us something to do. I don't understand why everyone is so worried that someone who might actually be a challenge might upset a server, unless that person(s) has complete control and is afraid of losing/sharing it. We need something before this really does die. Every day i see more and more quitting and moving to other games that are more fun, challenging and with customer service.

    right on, however i'd like to see that they pull thru with the server mergers first. then after the total server count is reduced to 10-20 servers (generic dummy accounts removed) then offer a server transfer "package" the paying customers are able to purchase. (i think server transfer for gems is a really bad idea as long as they can exploit an unlimited amount of free gems)

    Exploit gems??? What are you talking about? You make such a mountain out of every molehill. Listen, gems received in arena are given freely by Tynon, not exploited. When a person spends gems, on whatever, what possible difference would it make whether they came from arena or your pocketbook??? You are still spending them in game.

    If they merge, fine, but not everyone wants to move or would. sigh Some react as if there would be some massive migration, i don't believe that.

    They should do this by coordinating with the players; like make an announcement well ahead of time letting all the players know that they have 60 days to move to server 1 - 10 and remove all other servers. Anyone not moved after 60 days, the servers 11 - 1xx will be erased permanently, including the accounts on servers 1 - 10 that has not logged in after 60 days has expired. Then we would get a true count of active players. If one server gets filled up too fast, then registration to that server can close and players could be given the option to move to a lower population server between 1 - 10, balancing out the population of each server.

    This would definitely change things up and create more fun all around.

    For people who have multiple members of family that play, can limit accounts on the server to 4 per IP or do something to this effect.

    All of us not in 1-10 have 3 realms: forest, fire, and water. What are the other two? Sunshine and Puppies? If they consolidate I wanna be in Puppies realm.

    This game is not large enough to merge servers, its not a real MMO to start with , just a browser game, you start puting monster players into other other servers/ realms that are happy the way things are and your going to have mass exiting ( well maybe not mass as there are not masses to exit..) Merging servers works in real MMOs because there are many different zones to go with many things to do in each zone lvls etc, In Tynon you can only go kill a few mobs intill your sta runs out in very very small zones, you cant group etc etc, its a browser game , it is what it is, stop trying to think like this is WOW or Everquest where merging is a good idea.

    never wonder why some players and future top players move up and down the realms? how they are are vip 4-6 but have all 8 armor/weapon slots unsealed, blacksmith queues all opened and in less than half a year their armor/weapons nearly maxed?

    even tho you are making a strong point, i dont think you are right. there is other reasons for this. you made some examples, let me make some of my own:
    blizzards game diablo 1+2 online didnt get merged for a long time, they instead removed over night 25k cd keys of cheaters that where playing online and using a very small and simple software called "maphack" designed to generate a map of the game-"room" where you enter to find key locations like borders, leg, exits. all it would do was generate a basic map of the randomly generated game-room, something most players thought should have been implemented into the game from the start. just a couple months later not only was the servers pop restored but even has increased by over 30% after players found out that cheater and bots have been removed.

    the other example i like to make is about lineage2 where they have merged the servers for US+EU (originally 12 US and 3 euro) down to 3 servers (1 us-west, 1 us-east and 1 euro). at the time asia was also reduced but i dont know exactly by how much but can say that korea alone was reduced from 12 servers to 3. the game rejuvenated, developers expanded the story line. about a year later they saw such a growth in the game that had to start adding servers again (with real players and not dummies like in tynon to fill them up and give the impression of a healthy pop).

    point is, get rid of the filth, inactive, cheaters, multiple accounts, bots, farmers and merge the servers into the either 10 original servers or 10+10 servers (10 original + 10 new) and expand the game.
    if you are worried or afraid of the game getting killed that way, then dont, because whatever it is that you are doing right now is killing the game.
