    making maps more random

    idk if other servers have this issue and this is not the first time all weekend all everyone had were left maps. very few people got to do the free gems due to very very few rights. Tynon should make maps more random this been going on for a wile now.

    It is well known that Tynon's pseudo-rng is not very good.

    What does that solve? You might get an opposing map, but the shore is full of the ones no one wants and not enough other sides to sail. Sure, eventually many get sailed, but it is really stupid to me to have 90/10 split (or whatever) as this does not encourage battles at sea..... with maps no one wants.

    The easy fix is to rig the maps so that they are alternating, making it perfectly a 50/50 split. Then Tynon won't need to pretend the map distribution is random anymore and it's probably a lot easier to program than what they have now.

    why?

    seriously guys, think about it... where is the fun when you get a perfect split?

    while our server was still active i had all my guild mates "get up" and not boarded. that way the opposing guilds never knew what sort of maps we where missing and we where able to get a lot more sails.

    also, maps spawn almost "bulk like", meaning if you discovered that in the morning 5 other guild mates have the same map as you do then try again during the day or in the evening.

    Didn't know people found that fun... Perhaps less interesting if it's a 50/50 split, but there will be more sailing activity.
