A request for Davemata

Not really people tend to personal with me because I edit, close or delete things, so naturally I'm going to remove the insulting remarks. Andy for reasons of his own can't be here very much so I have to most of the moderating and therefore I get most of the flak.

Dave knows what I'm doing and is perfectly happy with it, so leave it at that.




The forum rules were set by Dawnseeker and agreed by uCool staff. They aren't going to change and are pretty standard to all forums. It's very simple really, follow them or if you choose not suffer the consequences.

OHHHH i see. So you are in regular touch with Mr. Dave Mata are you??? Can you ask him please to come to forum, or make any comments as to what is happening, when or IF we will see any help, customer service or at least a tidbit of attention from Devs just so we know they still breathe???? Thanks.

In fact I have done and so has Andy. So nothing more can be done.

I always keep myself neutral but well others can't. If they want to attack me personally I'll reply although they might not like what I have to say. It seems a common thread on this forum though no one seems to like it if another disagrees with them. Maybe it would get less personal all round if people started respecting other people's perspectives.

In general i don't post on here to receive critique from the forum moderator, it is to promote debate on hot topics. However, if they choose to do so, then they should have the courage to accept an open and honest response. Not have there finger hovering over the censor button. Reshaping the posts to leave only a flattering look.
I don't resort to insults, i like to express how something or someone has effected my experience.

Oh I don't give give critique as a moderator, I give it as a player. My opinion is my own and it's an honest one. Regarding censorship, I will remove any posts that doesn't fall in with the forum rules. Things like insults, instigation, personal attacks, flaming, inappropriate language, obscene images/memes and trolling. If you remain respectful to all members of the community and even uCool, then your posts won't disappear simple as that really.

Given the thread hasnt reached the 24 hour mark, it would have been a courageous decision, and proven my point.
Applying forum rules is all subjective. Just like a referee/umpire "interprets" the rules to favor the home team generally.

In my past threads there have been unflattering comments in my direction, and I'm ok with that. But they weren't edited. The posters were not disciplined. It seemed to be alright, when i was on the receiving end.
Imagine my surprise, when i received an official warning on the last thread i posted on. I was tame in comparison.

There is no consistency in the application, and if there were, this forum would become a barren environment.

There seems to be a consensus, that too many threads have been shut down that are generating talk. Yes there are rules, but there need to be a liberal and consistent interpretation.
The current hostile environment in this forum, where the axe is always moments away, needs to change.

Lets make it democratic, and have a poll on this issue???

the only one who i miss that actually cared about this game was dawnseeker. i remember dave from evony as a great guy and active who cares and is fair, but i dont think he gives a crap about this game and doesnt like to be forced into this position or gets burdened with another "title".

i was edited in the past and it made it sound entirely different multiple times. whether it was misinterpretation and/or "Good-willed" or just pure evil i will never find out, but trust me, its not fun. you however started this threat to rant about the forum, to be demeaning and condescending, to spite a free service, to flame the forum that was meant to be an exchange of your gaming experience and not a hotline to cry about personal issues.

I didn't want to do this but I will. You do not who had their posts deleted or were infracted. I don't discuss such things with individuals because it would be unprofessional. So stop acting like it's all about you, it isn't.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt with this thread because you raised some good points but now you alone have ruined it for yourself by turning what started out to be an ok discussion into a toxic mix of negative commentary and a personal attack against me. So since it's now tipped over into forum rule violations it therefore will be closed. I strongly suggest for your own benefit that you don't start a poll or it will end badly for yourself.

The only hostile environment being created on this forum are members such as yourself. Until recently few threads were closed down unless they were necro'd. So what does that say? It seems too many people are blaming me or others for their own failings and behaviour. You aren't the only one but since you wanted this in public I'm sorry to say I've singled you out. Not something I like doing but you brought this on yourself.

There is far too much flaming, trolling, insults and instigation (something you are guilty of Emily, you argue you haven't but trust me I've contributed to forums for nigh on 10 years and I can spot a trouble maker a mile off) going on this forum. Now I'm going to make it very clear to everyone. Show some respect to me and the community or I will start getting harsher. I've already started with some and I will continue to do so.
