    Well said.
I often say everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if they are wrong, and have trouble making coherent and well reasoned statements.
That is why lawyers require formal qualifications, rather than having the loudest voice.
I just tune it out as white noise, like with my kid brother.
Yes that's true. Everyone has their own opinion and I'm glad you've taken my advice as this makes for a much happier forum.

Moderating has been entirely reasonable as of late, so no need for new applicants at this late stage, lol.
Currently everyone has been fine. Moderating only becomes 'unreasonable' when the person being moderated doesn't like it

And finally, Tynon have not mentioned any updates are forthcoming for a very long time. Xmas packages and theme for the game or absence of, will be a strong indicator as to whether there will be servers to log into for the short to medium future. If they don't bother i think we will have our answers, on top of the big names sadly making their final curtain call....
There was nearly 5 months between the last 2 updates. The last one was in September and with the various holidays it's unlikely there will be another in January. As for Xmas packages, it's a little early yet, give it a few days.

thats different issues and i dont think you are right.
i agree that certain players alts, even entire alt guilds have made it for some players impossible to continue playing and they have moved on. i dont blame that on the individual tho. i would blame it on tynon staff (for example: starting new servers with 1-2k dummy accounts that where randomly generated and never played by real players to give the impression that the game is "full" and popular is already a bad start with a lie).
players have been asking for new content since january, but at that time they listened to us and took suggestions on. much later after they came up with minor things (except for the RC patch) players started to complain and some predicted that the game will go down if it continues in that way and it got worse.
as much as i dont like to players use alts, i dont think thats the biggest problem. i think the biggest problem is the players who use their alts to cheat in the game (maps, coins, grief, "protection", GW, etc...). a simple email verification could have made it a lot harder for those players. enforcing the TOS could have been key instead of letting players rant on the forums with alts or even show off how powerful they have gotten with them.

there is so much more to be said about this, i cant go into the full detail, but the ultimate death verdict, the "last nail into the coffin" as to speak for any company is to loose all contact with your customers/clientèle. clearly this has happened with a few interruptions and camouflage attempts, otherwise we wouldnt be here complaining about it. this is clearly not the main reason why they are loosing the most customers, but to me its the main reason why they are loosing their core customers (coiners, "hardcore" players, etc).

*hee hee* That's what I'm waiting for!

I haven't put as much coin into this game as the big boys/girls, but I have put some. I don't regret it, it's been a fun game, a welcome distraction for a few hours a week, and at this point about a year and a half later, I'm still working my way up with plenty of play to go. The question for me is more along the lines of: Do I have the patience to keep playing and maybe really compete in CW someday? I dunno, so I'll just keep playing for now.

How would e-mail verification stop alts?
Its quite easy to setup an email that could be used, with the required parameters for verification.

I have access to 20 email accounts, created for a special purpose on another game, each 1 I could log to verify.
Wouldnt use them here tho, there wouldnt be enough gain to warrant spending the time on them.

partially you just answered your own question...
i would also add to it that i did point out it wouldnt stop it but make it harder. currently cheaters can set up an unlimited supply of accounts and nothing is holding them back or makes it more complicated in any way. also you can add random email verification, so they would constantly have to keep track about the "who-is-who" and check the emails at least weekly. they could enforce a new rule they started in other games like evony where you are only allowed a max of 3 accounts/email per IP, etc ...
dont forget, there will always be cheaters in any game. the goal is not to stop cheating but to make it harder. then it comes down to the point where they start to decide if its worth the "effort", whats the "pay-off"... just you like you said yourself: "Wouldnt use them here tho, there wouldnt be enough gain to warrant spending the time on them"

Let's look at a scenario, just for fun. Let's say they did find a way to limit accts, and the alts (as you describe) went away...... How does that change much at this point? Does it fix the issues of bugs and glitches? Does it make the game more fun? Would it add content, or give us more levels, quests, heroes, sub, HR, etc?? I don't get the fuss over accts that. right now. are probably half (or more) of the activity on the game today. I still don't know how you can see, or prove, that an acct is an alt, or main??
If you are looking for blame as to why the game is not progressing, look at development, or lack of, not the accts.
