I've gotten the failed to synchronize error in lab today every single time I've gotten to the last extra boss. Rebooted, used different computer, but still get the error. Is this happening to anyone else?

Sucks doesn't it.
I have lost the last boss numerous times from failing to sync, so I refresh the browser between bosses every time.
Seems to solve it...or I should say it happens less.
Don't give up. And putting a ticket in to Stanley is next to useless, I have tried that too...

yes, this has happened to me in the early days of lvl3 hard lab. i would love to know why, glad it doesnt anymore!
i am just glad i dont have this problem, however we had a guild mate recently experience the same problem and he figured out that he sometimes would use the skip function before he runs out of moves to still get to the boss. that exploit seems to be fixed now, will give you a sync error and not let you proceed to the last boss anymore.
maybe your problem is similar?

i just noticed that i missed the part where you guys talk about the last bonus ("extra") boss, so the tile problem does not apply here
