just beat Africanus so I thought I would take a look at some of the replays for Ezekiel

I know that obtaining Ezekiel opens your second slot for your second sub not a prob with that

But! I have just watched a replay of fizban (whorehouse)

how the heck can that be he/she not beaten Ezekiel to even get the 2nd slot and if he/she did beat him and get 2nd slot you cant refight a hero that you have collected

U can beat him to get 2nd sub slot opened, but have to fight him still to recruit him.

Yep, I beat him a lot in one night, then like General Mulan, you can either retry to beat him to recruit, or take the second slot and run. But after a few more tries,,,, 2nd subbing in Queen Bryn, he was recruited, now it is off to 2nd malmepholis and beyond beyond

So you guys are saying, that so long as you have beaten Ezekiel at least once (not recruited him ) you still get 2nd slot, wow that some loop hole, I thought you had to recruit him to get the 2nd sub slot open.

I restarted my quest side 3 days ago, managed to get my act together and beat 1st set of Malmepholis twins, then sailed through the rest of the quest, then met the 2nd set of Malmepholis twins, (dam there hard) think going to be stuck here for some time seeing as I don't have 2nd slot

Edit :- I still think its wrong to show a replay that has used a 2nd sub to beat Ezekiel ( he/she had already beaten Ezekiel once) just seams like over kill, plus sorting more gear out to gear up the 2nd sub, to kill what he/she did already with 1 less hero.

some loophole? Hmmm, after you spend an eon trying to beat him come back and tell us about what a loophole it is. Zeke is pretty hard to kill. You need a damn strong Khan and a lot of luck with crits and blocks.

Like I mentioned earlier, it is like when you got your first open slot with General Mulan, beating Mulan doesnt guarantee the recruitment, it just opens the sub slot. The difference between Ezekial set up and Harder (2nd Mal) is that 2nd Mal requires a lot of magic resist, having the lower Mal go down first, and a good Maria to keep you healed. Just a little suggestion that worked for me. Final note, Herja is going to be better for you in the short of it because she is probably already sanct;d pretty high by now.

Might even be easier, 'cuz you can focus on 3 good sets of offensive gear instead of fretting about building 2nd sub. There's a thread on him that might have some good suggestions for ya in the index to formations (check out Story and Lore).

I just have a small question to you all: my khan takes 54k damage every round by both of the heroes in the top line (each does 54k, to make it clear) the point is that i upgraded my def to 57k now, but nothing changed. today i boosted him 3.5k def and no change. i just want to know if i do something wrong or did this happen to anyone else too?
