When you block a physical attack unless you are stunned you will do a counter attack, there is no chance involved in this aspect. The reduction in damage from block(not a actual block of a physical attack as that will always be 50% of the damage) is related to the break of the toon that is attacking. The only mages that will do a block/ counter attack are npcs however there are glitches that will make a dodge or a miss by a mage display a block were the miss or dodge should be.

all mages CAN block but are really bad at it and NO mages counter attack. the damage reduction from block on mages is passive

go find your reading glasses because i have provided screenshots and proven those numerous times (especially break and block)

Kasim you do realise that link you posted doesnt prove your point. An actual block reduces damage in half. Like grunt was saying the block rune mitigates the break damage from all attacks. This is what accounts for the 10k less damage in that shot. When a hero does an actual block it reduces the total damage taken by half. So in order to prove that a mage can actually block a physical attack you have to show the mage taking half damage from an attack. I would also love for someone to show proof of a hero that is not stunned blocking a physical attack and not doing a counter attack as that was another misconception stated in this thread.

ok first of all, skill attacks CAN be blocked (you can even block the banish bosses ;p). if you would read it carefully again, its to show that mages get a DAMAGE REDUCTION from the block rune because even tho they CAN block, they are just really bad at it and can not counter attack. therefore they integrated passive damage reduction for mages and that is exactly what it proves.

edit: the 10k difference is the average taken from 100 attacks (50 attacks with and 50 without)

just read the discussions in the forum at the appropriate sections and you will have it verified. who knows, maybe you learn something if you get past the "blah blah blah". however, someone like you probably believes the earth is flat lol
maybe if you would stop posting deconstructive nonsense in the wrong sections and accept the fact that your in-game knowledge is rather newbie or average at most.

As for that kaisim sponsered nonsense, banish boss 1000 strikes skill attack is not able to be blocked, whereas his physical attack can be blocked and regularly is by my team.

no one said his skill attack can be blocked or not (what i did say was that his attack CAN be blocked), i have not seen his skill attack being blocked yet but since its an NPC AOE skill attack, it should not be able to be blocked.

that being said, you emily then agree with steve that
- mages can not block
- single skill attacks from blood, kahn, pomp, etc can not be blocked
- passive damage reduction cuts half the damage
- and that block runes have no effect for mages
PLEASE tell us that you really believe that and that i said its all nonsense and "blah blah blah"!!!!!! HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
