Thread: CW Question

    CW Question

Say you are a contender for the cw championships. What benefits are there for powering down. You don't get the 30 purple stars, 5 leader cards, or the chips. Or is it entirely to avoid getting a crown so you can perform better in future cw events.

I'm just asking for strategic purposes (optimal resource harvesting strategies that is).

There are prizes for 2nd place of course, as you would know, without the crown.
Are you currently a contender for the finals?

The farthest I've gotten was losing the quarter finals. What are the prizes for 2nd place? Are these prizes anything other than tickets?

The prizes for 2nd place when compared to the winners, are the essence of the problem, as has been debated at length on this forum. And why there is no incentive to take the extra step and win.
20 purple stars, level 8 gem * 1, and some cards, but no crown debuff.s

Because if you get that far (ie reach the championships which are held on Saturday) you still get a lot of rewards if you lose. Essentially the rewards for winning the cw are not enough to justify actually winning it, because of the crown you get which puts you at a disadvantage in future cw's.

Even further, you get rewards regardless, in the form of tickets (and tickets can be used to buy stars and other goodies), but I believe you need to reach the quarter finals to get rewards other than tickets. If you dont make it to the knockout rounds you can still get on those and win even more tickets, so attending cw and betting during cw has incentives whether or not you have the potential to actually win it.

    I have a question!
Is it true that every crown you get, the following cw will give 10% more tickets than you obtained when participating in the previous cw?
The reason I ask this is because my guild host recently won Europe CW for the first time 2 weeks ago and she says that she is obtaining 10% more tickets...

Well... that would be an incentive to win!

But, seriously.. rewards are better for first. If you take first and get a crown, next time maybe u get 2nd, and rewards anyway. No need to power down. Please stop trying to convince us all that you're not just being asshats. This is pointed at everyone who's powered down for finals... nobody likes it. Ok... peeps betting and know what you're gonna do like it. But, nobody else. We reschedule our nights to watch battles. If you don't wanna fight... that's fine, just fine. The little kids are catching up... a billion a billon2 ain't so big anymore. Tynon ain't producing new content, so it won't be long until the the game-throwers don't make it thru the knockouts. Then we can see some real fights! Peeps with 18-star heroes that want more can go shove there 400 needless purples in a sock and take the beating that is soon to come. I root for fighters.

A bit of a rant.. but rant over.

thats because he doesnt know and there is no shame in it. you simpleton just dont understand his point he was making which is essentially that it would be a great idea to implement regardless if its already part of the game or not.

now that would bring us straight back to the point i was trying to make a long time ago - as a fact since the crowns where implemented:
i suggested to give (the winner only) proper random rewards/incentives for winning that you can NOT but with tickets. like special mounts, skill scroll, appearances in game, etc, etc , etc ...
