Without going to the link, Fire Essence is one of the materials used in crafting or upgrading certain pieces of equipment to level 40 such as the following;

Champion's Chestguard (40)
Champion's Helmet (40)
Champion's Staff (40)
Champion's Sword (40)

It can be obtained from the arena randomly as you got one, it can also be dropped as a reward from several monsters in the game such as;
