What is and is not a Revenge bug?

There have been a lot of discussion on the 'Revenge bug' but I am not sure what is a bug and what is normal behavior. here are some situations and I would appreciate if some one that is knowledgeable on how it is supposed to work would tell me what is a bug and is not.

1. A player attacks another player and looses. The player that was attacked revenges and wins (I understand that this is the way it is supposed to work). The 24 hour countdown starts for that player so that he/she can revenge again even though he/she won on the revenge.
2. A player revenges another player and looses. The other player intermediately revenges him back.
3. A player revenges another player and looses. The player is not shielded for a half hour in the wild.

I also am seriously confused by this situation I attack a player, win or loose i have no revenge. The only time i get a revenge is when i get attacked and am beaten in the fight. And yet when i attack other players, and they WIN, they manage to revenge me as well!!!??? Please can someone clarify????? I have spoken to several players about this and no one knows what is going on as there is no set precedence for what is going on. It seems some peoples work as they should, like mine for example and every second person i speak to has the bugged version and are quite happy with it as it lets them farm people beyond any limitation. It also has been that i have been 'revenged' by the same player 4, 5, 6 times in a day, without having ever revenged them once!! Whats going on TYNON??

Revenge works like this:

• If a player attacks you and regardless whether you won or lost, you may revenge
• You can only revenge a player once every 24hours (or after reset). If you win a revenge you can no longer revenge that person
• If you attack someone and win, you also cannot revenge that person. However, if that person revenges you then you are open to revenge them
• You can revenge anyone who attacks you in the wilds or Caribbean pirates
