How did this guy keep getting maps?

Ok today, my log shows RezaGard of warlords, server 17, finding the pirate treasure 3 times and yet still has another map to sail again, am i not correct that you get 3 sailing attempts per reset day? Thursday, August 22, 2013

Every time you buy gems, your pirate chances reset. It's not a bug.

He has VIP perks and can sail 6 times. And we are HAPPY about that.
