my understanding is that if you log on late your hits are still counted towards the total, but you CANT win the 10 mil unless you made at least 2 hits during the game. If you are small enough, you can do 2 hits and have a record of zero damage so it would look as if you hadn't played

If you don't hit boss during the regular rounds, you cannot in any way help with last hit. If you come in late, game won't even let you past the start line most of the time.
