Stars taken away

I know that sometimes when you upgrade a char you lose stars if it fails and sometimes you don't. Well when trying to upgrade a character to six stars i believe, since it was about three days ago, i place my pointer over the question mark and it said you will not lose any stars if failed. when i upgraded i did lose two stars. I just want to make you aware of this and hopefully you can get it fixed. I will post again if i have this problem. Might as well add that it happened twice to me today, when I refresh the tavern i get a purple hero and i get a "failed to synchronize" message right away and then i refresh the screen, the hero is not there. Please look into it and I will report anything else I see. Thank you.

Same thing happened to me ... lost a ton of stars (and the gems that bought them) b4 I realized what was happening

This happened to me twice as well, I thought it was supposed to happen...

Upgrading at 6 stars always loses 2 stars if you fail.

You must have a faulty pointer, you misread what was said on the tooltip, or you were looking at something else.
